With 12 years of experience in childcare, Lawanda Chiles has been an integral part of Georgia Kids Academy for a little over a year. As the Director, she finds great fulfillment in knowing that she provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow every day. Lawanda takes pride in making sure the academy feels like a home away from home for the kids, families, and staff. Living in Athens, GA, Lawanda enjoys shopping and spending quality time with her family and friends in her free time. She’s a fan of Southern Soul music, loves watching the movie Selena, and you can often catch her indulging in her favorite food—seafood! With over 12 years of experience in childcare, Olivia Hicks joined Georgia Kids Academy in May 2024 and has been a key part of the team ever since. As the Assistant Director, she thrives in the opportunity to work closely with children and support their growth every day. Olivia finds immense joy in watching the kids learn, play, and develop new skills, while also helping teachers create fun and safe learning environments. What she loves most is making a positive impact on the children, staff, and families at the academy. Olivia lives in Athens, GA, with her three rescued fur babies. When she’s not at the academy, you’ll find her behind the camera running her small photography business or enjoying a good country tune. She’s a big fan of pasta and loves watching all kinds of movies—from action-packed adventures to heartwarming family flicks. Olivia’s passion for early childhood education and her love for her community make her an invaluable part of Georgia Kids Academy!
